The Goodman's formal education comes from
Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California where they studied
Portraiture as well as Commercial and Color Technology. Having completed their studies
there, Daniel and Leslie Goodman opened up their
own photography studio in Illinois. Six years later, the two relocated to Colorado
where they re-opened their business.
Studying with painters has been equally important in mastering the technique known as oil Glazing, a method of oil painting on top of a photograph . These beautiful portraits are each hand painted by Leslie, (digital painting is not used in any way), transforming a photographic portrait into a one of a kind, commissioned piece of art.
Your portraits are digitally created to improve both quality and turnaround time. We offer you the ability to view the images from your session the same or next day at your convenience. Retouching is included in all of our portrait prices, (under-eye lines, blemishes, stray hairs, logos and more can easily be diminished or removed per your specifications. )

A continued education is extremely important, and with that in mind, the
Goodman's have attended numerous photography sabbaticals and seminars over the years with various internationally
known portrait photographers. They have studied techniques in photographing
a variety of subjects from children, families, pets, HS seniors and models.
In furthering
their knowledge of the constant changes in their field, and to keep striving
for excellence, the Goodman's are a member of the International organization,
RPS (Royal Photographic Society) in England.
